Hi folks,

I asked this on the midrange-L list, but I think it merits cross-posting here, especially since there was no response to it there, as it relates to setting up a set of programs. And especially since I know there are crack programmers here (heh heh) who have done everything in legit RPG and non-legit RPG (like Cozzi bragging in his book even! about his youthful prank of branching from *DETC to *TOTC)..... heh... :-)

I have a CL program, <CLPgmA > that will call an RPGLE program <RPGPgmB> that will use service program <SrvPgmC> for some of the functions needed, because many of those functions will be needed later. But there are also some programs in place that are OPM model that <RPGPgmB> needs to call.

Short version of the question is, what are the gotchas for a call stack like this, program-to-program:

*DFTACTGRP --> *DFTACTGRP --> *NEW --> *DFTACTGRP.

I can't remember where I've done this, as I always made sure, to the best of my recollection, that they were

*DFTACTGRP-->*NEW-->*CALLER.
