Hello Arthur,

If you're open to a commercial solution, check out our RPG2SQL product.
The product has a whole subset of RPG2Excel functions to allow you to read
and write directly to Excel spreadsheets from an RPG program.

You can read/write, format cells, create multiple sheets and more.

For more information check out our web site or contact me or Vern Hamberg
(vern@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) to further discuss your needs and to download a
FREE 30 day demo.

subject: Excel Integration

I'm fairly desperate to have my RPG programs interact with Excel
spreadsheets so field people can do their budgeting off-line.
I need to be able to create the workbook and later be able to read
rows/columns from it. Simple .csv files are not going to cut it.

Does anyone know of an iSeries/Excel product that fits the bill?

Any help will be appreciated.
