Yes, went to your site and found that wonderful hex chart!

And since it took so long for my message to post we did find the hex value 
using the debug.  It ended up being 15.  The CCSID of the file being read by 
the RPG program from the IFS was 437.  It is now working.  Thanks for your 
reply!
