One thing you may wan to try is to view the data in HEX in your program during
debug.

EVAL  ring:x
The :x suffix causes the data to be displayed in hex instead of plain text.

Subject: Hex value for Capital A, ring

We have used the x'67' hex value code to try and find the Capital A ring
character in a string.  It doesn't seem to recognize the character.  When
debugging the program and displaying the field with the character string in
hex...where the Capital A ring character is expected displays a zero.  Any ideas
or things to check?
