Hi,

I think you have created a flat file TESTPF.

Even if you have created it as structured file with key definitions, it 
will give a compilation error if you try to specify keyed access for 
output file.

The basic reason, when you are not going to access the file (perform an 
input operation on the file), why do you have to specify the record access 
type as "K" in 53rd position of F-specification statement.

Error is ussing O/p file






Can any one help on what this error mean

I created file, no error shown in compilation
 i entred value ussing DFU- to make sure its fine

i used file ussing as

 FTESTPF    o    E           k DISK

But on compilation its showing

6 errors
*RNF2120 40      1 External description not found for file specified as
                   externally described; file ignored.

other 5 are dependent on this error(i feel so).
