I could use some assistance with a minor although long term irritant that I
have had with a program.

When we are processing orders, I have a DSPF that shows a record count and
which order the system is currently updating. What it is supposed to do is
determine the record count and update the DSPF so that the end user is aware
of how many records we are updating, changing, etc. Then after each record
is processed, it is supposed to increment the count, write the DSPF record
and move on; in theory so the user will see the progression of the
processing.

For some reason though, it does not update the display file until after all
records have been processed.

Included in the RPGLE is a write statement to write the record, which if I
am correct should re-display the updated file and then return control back
to the program as it moves to the next record. But that is not happening.

Suggestions?

Douglas
