Convert the program to RPGIV is about the only solution that I can see. I
did the same thing for a program a few years back by writing an api to
pass the parms back and forth. It worked well.

Subject
RPG III Program having more than 50 Files.

Hi,

We have a RPG III program that is already using 50 files. We have to add
one more file to this program and obviously it will not compile because we
cannot have more than 50 files.

One solution is to write a small program in which we will declare this new
file, pass the needed parameters to this program and then return back to
this program that already has 50 files with needed ouput.

Is there any other alternative to this approach?

Thanks,
Venkatesh.
