Hi group,

We are looking into triggering some of our files, to automate logging &
auditing (last update date/time/user etc).

As long as things are done via the application or interactive SQL in 5250,
everything is OK.

However, I prefer to use WDSCi and the QuantumDB plugin instead of
interactive SQL to do updates, and that's when the problems start.

Every update I do gets logged under userprofile QUSER and not my own
profile COLPAERP, which I did have to enter when connecting to the
iSeries.

So my question is:

Is there a way in RPGLE to retrieve the profile of the user who is
actually connected remotely (through JDBC, ODBC, maybe iSeriesNav or
other)?

In case it's important, we're at V5R3.

Thanks in advance,
