Subject: Generating Julian Date

One of our customers is requiring us to generate a material number based

upon the following:

Julian Date
Year
Release Number

The release number we will generate based upon what has already been
used
before, however I haven't played with julian dates in years, what I am
needing is just the julian number for the day for the year we are
currently
in.

suggestions on how to extract that?

If you bought it, it was hauled by a truck - somewhere, sometime.
