Not sure, since I've never used iSeries Distributed Debugger, but since I
don't see any response to your post, I'll just ask some basic questions.

Why are you doing a "wait state"?  Can't you start the debugger for the
interactive job first before running the program you're trying to debug?
That's how the green-screen debugger works anyway.
