Steve,
The quickest way to the web is to use IBM's Net.data, which comes free
with OS400.
It is analogous to Microsoft's ASP product.
It uses scripts (in regular source files or alternatively IFS file) so
no compilation is required.
The primary method of accessing DB2/400 is via embedding SQL in a
script.
It provides an elegant method of exposing the SQL result set as HTML.
In addition to other methods of accessing DB2/400 it provides for RPGLE
CLP etc programs (even existing ones) to be called directly from script
with parameters.

Subject: Idea for a small project using the web

HI
I would like to display information to a web page. The users of this web
page would be my department. I would report on static and dynamic info.
The bulk would come from an RPG or Cobol program. Let us say certain
application statistics regarding the activity of each section of the
warehouses, how many pieces moved out. A small analysis of the various
shipping files, the program would read and find critical dates and
timestamps, and put into a file, to go to the web.

Thanks,
Steve
