Why not?? I wanna be special too LOL <tic><vbg>

Question:

I haven't looked or tested this...

Using the QUSLFLD API (which changed somewhere between v5r1 & v5r3 for
implementing identity columns)...

What is returned in the list member size??

If the data referenced is NOT an identity column, you have to offset to
the next entry in the user space by adding 544(the previous size of the
returned data), if the data referenced IS an identity column the offset
to the pointer must be incremented by 608. Which is returned? If 608 is
returned then are all column data references offset by 608? Or is it
variable???

Bad programming, lack of knowledge, maybe...but I'm still relatively new
to the API stuff my first attempt at using a true API was Aug. 2004...

But I am still learning...

Thanks,
Tommy Holden

Tommy,

No disrespect to you or your abilities (I know you know what you're
doing!), but it sounds like you're justifying bad programming
practice... :-)
