If it relies on the "F" specs it is a pretty useless tool isn't it? Also, why would you want to adapt your coding practices just to HELP your tool doing its job?

One last comment about the F spec as documentation only. If you had an RPGLE program that simply did:

cmd='CLRPFM MYFILE';
QCMDEXC(cmd : %len(cmd));
/end-free

Would you put an F spec at the top of that one for documentation
purposes? A simple Yes/No and not "I'd have written it in CL" appreciated.
