The file status BIF's (%EOF, %FOUND, etc...) are not updated by SQL
statements. You need to check SQLSTT (preferred) or SQLCOD. SQLSTT will
equal '02000' when there is no more data. You may want to take a look at
the database programming books in the InfoCenter.

Subject: Last record keeps repeating

I am using embedded sql to prepare a report of our customer sales totals
for
a range of dates, however when it hits the last record in the sql query
it
just keeps repeating itself.

I thought I could end it by using a DOW NOT %EOF statement but
apparently
that is not correct.

Suggestions on how to exit the loop cleanly?

If you bought, it was hauled by a truck - somewhere, sometime.
