The best way I think is to use a data queue and have a data queue server. Each
time a call is made to the trigger, write to data queue. This works well
because you don't need real time updates and no overhead in the trigger
program.

Subject: Use of Triggers in RPG

I would be pleased to know if any one has any examples and/or advice on
how the use Triggers to log updates to a a stats file each time there is
a record written to a number of transaction files. Is this even a viable
approach ? What are the pitfalls ?

Many thanks in advance
