I wonder if a procedure would be the answer, depending on how the
information is used. Create a data structure with all of the fields, and
pass that into your procedure and get back the answer.

Subject: Joins, PF and Logicals

I am in need of joining several files together...IE: we have a MTD (Month to
day line item PF) which contains all of the respective sales data, however
it does not contain the customer name; for that I need to join it with the
customer master file. That part is simple enough but I also need to
restrict it to certain commodity classes which are contained in our
commodity PF so I need to really join the MTD file to our customer file and
to our commodity file. Is this possible? Or can I join a logically joined
file with another PF?

If you bought, it was hauled by a truck - somewhere, sometime.
