Hi Joe,

        The manuals will have the hex codes for the various 'end of' responses 
- if
you send them the Proper code, they will acknowledge and end normally.  See

For details - it's been a long time since I've used any of this so I don't
really remember the details anymore.

I determine the transmission is complete by the arrival of a trailer
record.  Guessing from the rest of your reply and the situation, what I
do next is incorrect, which is varying off the line, etc.  How would I
detect their EOT (I'm thinking by detecting a return code), and
particularly how would I acknowledge it?
Haven't tried running comm. trace.  Appreciate your help.
