For comparison with traditional I/O, set the NBRRCDS
[Number of records to retrieve at once] parameter of
the OVRDBF command to 1000, and specify BLOCK(*YES) on
the RPG "F" spec.

This isn't to suggest that you shouldn't use SQL, but
that I've never run into a situation where you
couldn't get better performance by using traditional
I/O.
