Peter,

if I've got it right,
you want to replicate datachanges by applying the corresponding
Journalentries?
If this is want you want,
there are some code snippets on our website:
we replicate our database remotely via remote journaling .

on 5 different databases, each one corresponding to each work file
processed, with the same file naming convention as the file being read,
like for example: "ITEMAS" it will be "ITEMASJRN">>.

Do you have to fill two files?

Do those two files have the same record format?"

Oh, no, I think I explained myself not too clear. Sorry. Local Mgmnt
wants to have 5 databases with the corresponding journal data of these 5
physical files, so they can easily access the information via query,
download it to a spreadsheet, etc. We are currently journaling purchase
order files activities, specifically for prices changes and stuff like
that and they want to do the same thing with these 5 files.

What I want to be able to do is to use just ONE PROGRAM that will read all
these 5 files, but not defining the processing of these 5 files within the
same program but just the processing of ONE FILE AT A TIME. Just be able
to call that same program and send the filenames as parameters to process
them... or something like that, but the program will always remain intact,
processing the journal in the way I want it, not only for this file but
also for the other 4.

As a matter of fact, then the program might be used for any future
requirements over any other file that we may want to apply journaling to.

I hope this clarifies a little better. Thank you for your advices and
help.
