For whom do you want  to make the language easy to use?  Existing RPG
programmers who already know it or new people coming with a managed
code, Java, VB, C# background?    I think it has to be appealing to
new people. .NET is proving how powerful managed code and a
comprehensive framework can be - leave RPG/Free the way it is, develop
a new version that meshes with Java.
