Any Difference in the API's? -- RPG400-L

Hi
Could anyone tell me whats the difernce betmeen QCMDEXEX and 
QCAEXEC.
    I have tried both API's with the same command and format. It is 
working fine in both the cases.
May  it could be a basic question and also apologies incase it is posted in the 
wrong 
forum ...
