RE: Debugging a Called RPG Program

Two ways:

1.  If it's not too expensive, write a test program that calls it
interactively.

2. Write a test program that submits the job on hold, start a service
job on it, and then start debug on the program and release it.

Hi All,



Can someone tell me if there is a way to debug a program when it is
called by a CL command?



We have a program that is executed by a CL program and passed a bunch of
parameters.  I want to debug this specific program, so I compiled the
program with debug (*ALL) and then started debug and added a few
breakpoints.



I then run the initial program, and enter the required data.  This
program in turn will set up the parameter list which then calls a CL
program.  This CL program sets up the batch job and then calls ANOTHER
CL program which calls my RPG program (is your head spinning yet? :-)).



It is this last program I would like to debug.  I know it can be done by
manually passing in all of the parameters (15 of them!), but is there an
easier way?
