Would the S36 command BLDINDEX work for you?

Subject: A question about LF [heur]

Hi!

I have a question about logical files and System 36 Files... I have to
create a logical file on an old S/36 file. Usually it is not hard to do
so. But in my case, it is... The record file name is B.CLMDSC. So I
cannot use this name in my reference line like that:

R B.CLMDSC PFile(B.CLMDSC)

I tried that and it does not compile. So is there a way to rename
dynamically the record name to be used in the logical file?

Thanks for your help

Charles
