When you say the elements can be 64k, is this the max size for the
entire element?  What about a DS array.  Can each field in the DS be
up to 64k, or must the total size of the entire DS be 64k or less?

I doubt that any array element of mine will have a problem with the
64k size limit, probably the 32k element count, but this is good to
know.
