   Michael,

For the DDS you use a field (SDS_PROC) which is an = SDS subfield
With the API you pass the value '*' in the MSGQ = parm.
Examples of using MSGSFL always use the same value = for the DDS field and
   the API parm.

'*' is a special value. I do not know what value it = retrieves under the
cover, even though it should be the (name of the) = MSGQ of the running
   programme.

   Regards,
   Carel Teijgeler.

   I think you mean:

   Write main DSPF
   Write window
   Read main DSPF

This might help (never tested it).

If you define a WINDOW with DDS I think the use of = OVERLAY is not
needed, just KEEP and RSTUSRDSP key words.

Why are people always using OVERLAY in a WINDOW, when = it is not a SFLCTL
in a window? Windows are a special kind of DSPF. = Just wondering.

   Not a built-in subroutine.

In VARPG, there's *TERMSR, but not in ILE RPG.

There are a variety of alternatives, such as = procedures that can be
   called
when the activation group ends, procedures that are = called when a call
   level ends abnormally, etc.

Try searching the archives for *TERMSR, CEE4RAGE, = CEERTX, this stuff has
been discussed extensively in the past.
