First, make sure you compile your program with an appropriate
DBGVIEW - I use *LIST. Press F4 when you compile the program instead
of Enter.

Once the program has a debug view specified you can debug it. The
steps go something along these lines:

1) strdbg
2) you're taken to a view of the source. Set a breakpoint or press
F10 to stop at the first instruction.
3) press F3 to exit the source view.
4) run the program any way you normally would. From a menu, from a CL
from a command line... anything you want as long as it's in the same
job you did the STRDBG in.
5) when the program runs, you'll stop either at the breakpoint you set
or at the first instruction.

A bit of advice: Do read the bottom of the screen and take special
note of the command key assignments. Also, press F1 and read the
help. Tinker with various options to get used to the new debugger.
