You were absolutely right!  I had different versions of classes floating
and I was seeing one but was executing the other obviously.  Once I
cleaned up, I could actually get into the code under debug.  I still am
not able to use a long package name but still, I am quite excited.

For the case where you were able to see the Java source and set a
breakpoint, did you remember to CRTJVAPGM on that class?

Maybe it's still calling some other version of your class even though
you see that version in source debug.  Maybe you could add some print
statements to the one you can see in the debugger, just to see if that
is actually the version you are calling.

Or maybe you need to sign off and sign back on, to get a fresh JVM after
you create the new class.
