Re: Duplicate records

Rather than  getting complicated with SQL or writing programs, why not just
copy 1 record to a temp file, clear the original file, then copy the 1
record back?

Step 1 - CPYF FROMFILE(LIBRARY/FILE)  TOFILE(QTEMP/TEMPFILE) CRTFILE(*YES)
FROMRCD(1) TORCD(1)
Step 2 - CLRPFM FILE(LIBRARY/FILE)
Step 3 - CPYF FROMFILE(QTEMP/TEMPFILE)  TOFILE(LIBRARY/FILE)

This is just a one-time deal,  after all

I have a PF with no keys. All records in this PF are duplicate, exactly
same. What is a better way to remove all such duplicates? This is one time
problem.

I thought of a program to read the file, read first record, keep it, read
second and delete it and reset the counter. SQL of any help here?
