field encryption -- RPG400-L

I've been asked to encrpyt several fields in a Payroll Master
(by this weekend, not purchasing anything, at V5R2 in 
RPG or RPGLE). Over the years I've done some homegrown
stuff, very basic. I found the encrypt and decrypt api's material
in info center. Any other resources?
