The API you want is QGYRPRTA which will return all sorts of information
regarding the status of the printer.

All,

I am writing a program that will allow our users to have eased control over
his/her printers.  I am looking for an API that will tell me the status of
a printer.  In the case the printer was not active, I want to be able to
prompt the user to call for support instead of trying to answer a message
he/she does not have access to.
