To set the java.version property, use the QIBM_RPG_JAVA_PROPERTIES
environment variable; set it up before the JVM gets started. You code
the properties just like in the java command (with the initial -D),
separated and terminated by some character (say semicolon). You need
the separator even with just one property.

   ADDENVVAR QIBM_RPG_JAVA_PROPERTIES VALUE('-Djava.version=1.4;')

See the V5R3 version of the ILE RPG Programmer's Guide

2507.pdf,
but this support is also available through PTFs for V5R1 (SI10069) and
V5R2 (SI10101).
