Try to manipulate the file with SQL and check the sql state for the file
isn't there.
Or, call the qusrobjd api to check for existence.

Checking for existence of a global temporary table...

I have an SQLRPGLE program that does the following...

C/exec sql
C+ declare global temporary table mstable
C+ (mspgnm char(10),
C+ mscode dec(7,0),
C+ mssevr char(10),
C+ mstype char(10),
C+ msdesc char(80),
C+ msovrd char(1))
C/end-exec

I would like to be able to check to see if this table already exists in
QTEMP before attempting to create it again...using RPG or embedded SQL
in RPG.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Dane
