As I recall, edit codes 5 through 9 are reserved for the user defined edit
codes so they aren't used for anything unless you use them.  It's been a
while since I dealt with them, though.

BTW, it looks like OS/400 ships with edit codes 5-9 already defined (WRKOBJ
*ALL/*ALL *EDTD).  Is there a way to know whether any of these are used
anywhere on the system?  They were all created by *IBM back in 1992, and
none show a Last Used Date on the object description (but "Usage data
collected" is set to NO).
