You can do DSPFD to get a member list.

DSPFD  lib/file  *MBRLIST  - replace lib with the library the file is in and
file with the physical file name.
You can prompt the command and put the data in an outfile and then have your
program read the outfile and display the member list for the user.

I am looking for a way to see ALL members that exist on a physical file. I
need this to be in a simple understandable format as I will be giving
an option to display this information to a user.   The user has the
ability to 'clean up' members in the file,  and has asked for the ability to
see a list of what is on the file.  

 

I have looked at dsppfm,  dspdbr   but neither seems to give me this.
