I have a program that calls a program on another system using the rexec()
API. The program on Box1 calls the program on Box2. The program on Box2
uses a DDM file to lookup information on Box1. This is required because
additional information is required during runtime.

When I test this process on Box1, everything works well. When I run this
process as it was designed, with the calling program on Box1 and the called
program on Box2, it fails. I receive the error:

Authorization failure on DDM TCP/IP connection attempt.
Cannot open DDM file LQPLCUS034 in SHPWLS.
Error message CPF4207 appeared during OPEN for file LQPLCUS034.

In an effort to track down the problem, I wrote a program on Box2 to call
the calling program on Box2. This was to check the runtime use of the DDM
files. When I run this process interactively on Box2, there is no error.

I tried to compile the program on Box2 with the user profile set to *OWNER
and compiled the program with the same user profile in which I ran the
tests. I receive the same error.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Mike
