All reasons are debatable. Just need to choose a method to go with it, it just happen to be the one that I didn't like.


Well, the fact that you spent time away from coding to ask your initial question suggests strongly that there is a definite business cost to NOT using free-form calcs. You wouldn't have had to ask your question if you were already using %KDS or the key list syntax!

You could always volunteer to provide the training yourself. 15 minutes during your lunch hour should be more than enough.
