Decimal Data Error

Hi all, 

Here is a line of code from my ILE program. 

0064.00 C                   z-add     $LIN#         PNoLines

$LIN# is Packed 5,0 and PNoLines is  also 5,0. 

This line crashes with a Decimal Data Error. At debug I note that the value of 
%LIN# is 00004. Why would this be a decimal data error. Also I changed the 
value to 00003 and it works just fine. 

Going nuts over this issue. Any help would be highly appreciated :)
