   I need them for the growing length of UPC codes.  Granted GTIN is going to
   be only 14, but they intend to do another increase "soon" and bring it up
   to 40 or so digits.  So I guess I'm storing GTIN in zoned decimal.

     I think the choice between 10I0 and 20I0 is a matter of taste. I think
     it really only matters when you want to store a long list of numbers in
     an array, and the lesser storage requirements for using a smaller size
     /may/ make a difference in program performance.

     No, there's no 16-byte integer/unsigned format in V5R3. But there are
     bigger decimal numerics. I really don't know why you'd need it, but RPG
     IV now supports up to 63 digit packed and zoned decimal variables.
