I tried reading your message in 3 different (HTML compatible) e-mail

Take a look at your message in the Midrange.com archives (which also looks
that way despite being viewed in a web browser!)

There's some lethal combination that appears to happen when you post HTML
code and it get's interpreted by the mailing list software.

My mail client (Apple Mail 2.553) shows Chris' mail in what looks like the MIME encoded source so perhaps even turning off HTML won't help. Apple Mail does handle HTML e-mail but it looks like something else is wrong with the structure of the note. There is someone else on these list that also sends unreadable mail but I cannot recall who--I usually just discard unreadable mail.

The e-mail headers from Chris' note do not include an X-Mailer record (neither does yours BTW) so I can't tell what mail client he uses. Perhaps it has something to do with:

X-Mimetrack: Serialize by Router on d01ml001/01/M/Mohawk(Release 5.0.11 |July 24, 2002) at 01/31/2004 10:11:17 AM

or

X-Content-Filtered-By: Mailman/MimeDel 2.1.4

which I don't see in anyone else's mail headers.

Simon Coulter.
