Could you also create a logical over the work file with the whole record as
a key, and use the UNIQUE key word?  If you consider this solution be sure
to read the manual.  There could be restrictions that are deal breakers for

I feel pretty comfortable with using the method below.  The original file
I'm working with is a work file itself.  I could create another workfile
for the SQL statement and then clear the original workfile and then copy
the records from the SQL file back into original file.
 
Is there an SQL statement similar to DELETE DISTINCT * FROM FileName?
