I feel pretty comfortable with using the method below. The original file
I'm working with is a work file itself. I could create another workfile
for the SQL statement and then clear the original workfile and then copy
the records from the SQL file back into original file.

Is there an SQL statement similar to DELETE DISTINCT * FROM FileName?

Thanks,

Frank

Directing the results of the SQL SELECT statement:

SELECT DISTINCT * FROM FileName

to a temporary file will provide you with a version containing
non-duplicated rows.
