In PA just a couple months ago the law was changed to allow the state
liquor stores to sell alcohol on Sundays.  They're still trying to get the
law changed so that state liquor stores can be physically inside a grocery
store.  Currently they're in strip malls.

And let's not forget about beer.  You have to buy it from a beer
distributor.  By the case!

The only other way to buy alcohol is by the glass at a restaurant.

So, yes it does seem like yesterday here in PA!

Maybe this is pennance for the Whiskey Rebellion? ;-)

Oh, you can get free beer at most nude dance clubs.  It's against the law
for a completely nude dance establishment to sell alcohol.  But it's not
against the law to give it away.  Obviously these places have high cover
charges.  Who's fooling who, huh?
