I do NOT speak for my client, and only gather bits and pieces of what's going on... In my observation, they run a demand-driven IT environment which is extremely user-centric... I mean EXTREMELY. The Prod box is on V5R2, whilst Dev box is on 4.5. I haven't asked them, but I believe they are more concerned with focusing on things that provide direct biz benefits, ie HA. V4.5 isn't causing any problems, nor does 5+ provide any significant advantages that they need very much... This biz is like most I've seen, where opening the checkbook is no different between software or hardware or personnel..
