| The syntax checker doesn't check /FREE
| statements simply due to the intractibility of locating the
| beginning of a /FREE statement from any arbitrary point in the
| source. The alternative of going back to the previous /FREE
| directive also has its problems, and the ultimate fall-back of
| syntax checking all calcs is considered to be unacceptable for
| performance reasons.

I'm not understanding this part: "the ultimate fall-back of syntax checking
all calcs...". IF you could determine if a source line was FREE or not,
would there still be some lines that wouldn't be syntax checked?? Or do you
mean, like, the ultimate of syntax checking ALL calcs as a single block of
code??
