While what you did was effective, are you using ACTGRP(*CALLER) or
ACTGRP(*NEW) on your H spec?

I am new to the called procedures so bear with me.

I have created a module GETVWEEKS(hired) to calculate vacation time for
our
union employees based on their hired date.
I tested the procedure in a bound RPG program and it worked fine.
I tried the procedure in a cl called program front-ended with an OPNQRYF.
Every time I ran it I got a CPF4131 when the bound rpg ran.
I changed the OPNQRYF by adding OPNSCOPE(*JOB) and it works fine.

Was this the correct way to fix the problem ?
