I was searching the archives today for RPG enhancements.  Stumbled across 
this gem

Had a question today from a developer:
If I have a datastructure, full of variable length fields, how do I 
determine the offset to a particular field?

I suggested subtracting %addr(myDS) from %addr(myDSfield) and that should 
be the offset.

Is %offset still under consideration?
