options(*string) should take care of null-terminating it.  It won't
remove trailing blanks, though -- I don't know if that's an issue or
not, it wasn't apparent from the code you posted.

In fairness, the APIs you're calling are QSHELL, not IFS.  You could use
the IFS APIs instead -- but then you'd have to write your own copy
command, so I have avoided suggesting that :)

I suppose I should take your code and actually try to compile it and run
it, that would be the best way to help you at this point... but I'm a
bit swamped right now.
