Sadly, I believe operational descriptors *were* fully implemented according to the spec. It's the spec that's woefully lacking.


Ideally, you want some form of data description that can handle all (or most) forms of data that can be specified in all (or most) programming languages. PCML is another attempt to do that, and it too is lacking.

I suppose some private RPG form of data description could be developed. But there really hasn't been any overwhelming ground-swell of demand for improved descriptor functionality.
