It sounds like you are defining variables in your /COPY members. I think (and everyone is welcome to disagree) that generally /COPY members are the wrong place to define variables. /COPY members should usually only define function prototypes, /define'ed macros, and structures. I don't know that RPG will let you define a structure without also defining a variable, however.
