Please continue to write things in RPG.  Especially that you are making it
available to the public.  I very much appreciated that and I will be able to
learn from the code and hope to find uses for it in future projects.  I have
started to write a wrapper around your RPGMAIL program so that it will be
easily callable for the everyone in our shop.  We currently use the SNDDST
command in CL to email certain people about specific errors that need user
intervention.  Kind of a clunky solution, but it worked at the time I needed
something.  It will be a joy to just be able to call this RPG program
passing the parms for who(m) to send it to and the text of the message. 

(if anyone wants to set me straight on the proper use of who vs. whom, can
you please change the subject line so it's not mixed in with this thread.

If you're so keen to do your e-mail in Java, then why are you writing an RPG
interface for
it?  It seems to me that your major problems is that you're mixing both
RPG and Java.   Do it purely in Java if you want Java.
